Most Anticipated of 2021

Whether 2021 sees our world return to some semblance of normalcy, or it remains more of the same from the turbulent 2020, there is still a lot of entertainment I’m looking forward to in the next year. Maybe I still won’t be able to sit down in a movie theater, or go cheer on the Buffalo Bills at Bills Stadium for a game, but I’ll be happy just to have the opportunity to enjoy any of it, no matter how I have to experience it. Here is the movie, tv show, video game, comic book, novel, and sporting event I’m most excited for in 2021.

Best of 2020

Fictional entertainment and pop culture are my life, but I’ve never been more appreciative of them than I was throughout the unprecedented year that was 2020. When there was so much uncertainty and fear with the spread of the Coronavirus that completely changed every day life as we know it, escapism entertainment was a perfect way to unplug and find a little enjoyment. Given how many industries were shut down because of the pandemic, I’m just thankful we got as many releases and events as we did! I’ve done this end of year list naming my favorite movie, television show, video game, comic, novel, and sporting event several times now, but I think this one might go down as the most special to me, as all of these picks went a long way to keeping me positive throughout 2020.

Winter 2020 Update

I’m sure that there are a lot of artists who have used all of the downtime in 2020 to get far more work done than they would have in a normal year, but I admittedly have used most of 2020 to rest and recharge. After I finished writing The Legend of Light trilogy back in April, I told myself that I was going to take a nice, long break from fiction writing. I’ve stayed active one way or another, what between all of my writing done for Zelda Universe, and my ongoing pursuits of learning how to draw in the style of manga, but I kept my efforts in check even with those. The more than seven years of writing a high fantasy series was, honestly, exhausting. It also solidified that my true artistic goals are in a more visual medium, which is why I intend to focus on learning to draw so that I can someday put together a comic series.
